Cutting velveteen is rather strict and also needs high accurate requirement, although we import the advanced reamer, there is still a little differences between up layer and down layer in thickness. In velveteen industry, 5% tolerance of weight differences is allowed between up/down layer and the center.

3. In processing of weaving velveteen, due to the pile direction discrepancy, the style of up and down layer will be a little bit differences. However, almost customers are able to accept the defect. Regarding twill items, one side will appear “Z” twill style and the other side will appear “S” twill style.

4. Because velveteen is “V” pile structure, therefore, pile retention is worse than corduroy. Till now, the pile retention of velveteen can be controlled within business and commercial requirements. Our mill has developed new technology, which leads other counterparts in velveteen industry, to enhance the pile retention problem.

5. The seam slippage and pile retention of velveteen are affected by hand feel. The better hand feels the worse seam slippage and pile retention.

6. We pack the goods according to customers’ needs, such as carton packages and roll packages. The different packages lead to different costs.
